Teksts

Trasta komercbanka would like to inform its clients that the European Central Bank (ECB) has adopted a decision to withdraw the authorisation of the bank. The ECB decision was based on the proposal submitted to the ECB by the Financial and Capital Market Commission (FCMC). The ECB adopted the decision on withdrawing the authorisation of the Bank on 3 March with the effect at 24:00 Latvian time on the same day.

According to the conclusions of the FCMC, in the case of winding-up the Bank and paying guaranteed compensation in the amount of up to EUR 100, 000 to eligible depositors, 93% of the Bank’s depositors will recover their deposits placed with the Bank in full, thereby the interests of majority of depositors are respected.

A decision of the Board of FCMC on unavailability of deposits in the Bank was published on 4 March, as well as information on the procedure and timeframe for disbursement of guaranteed compensations: in case of unavailability of deposits in a bank, compensation of eligible deposits up to EUR 100,000 is guaranteed by the State.

The Bank will inform the clients and partners about further actions within the shortest possible time.

In case of any questions please contact FCMC +371 67774800, +371 67774801, TKB Info Center +371 67027777 or your private banker.

The clients whose deposits in TKB exceed the amount of guaranteed compensation, will be able to file a claim within the procedure of liquidation once the liquidator begins to accept such applications.

The procedure for guaranteed compensation payment will be announced during 7-10 days, but it will begin by 1 April at the latest.  The applications for reimbursement will be accepted in the branch offices of the Bank or via TKB Internet banking, and the amount will be transferred as a single payment.

More information about disbursement of guaranteed compensation you can find on FCMC web-site.
