The asset management company Baltikums Asset Management owned by Baltikums Banka has established an open investment fund Baltikums Short-Term Investment Strategy Bond Fund.
The main objective is to maintain safety of the capital of the fund investors and to ensure its sustainable growth in short and medium term by using a well-balanced investment strategy. Investments in the fund are a great opportunity to submit free cash funds for professional management and diversify financial risks.
The fund resources will be invested largely into debt securities issued or guaranteed by states, municipalities, central banks, international financial institutions, credit institutions, and commercial entities. The fund targets at short and medium term investments into fixed income securities; therefore, the major part of the funds will be invested into short and medium term debt securities.
Upon commencement of the fund’s operations, the value per one investment fund share is 1000 US dollars, the minimal sale and buyback volume is 10 fund shares, the principal currency of the fund – US dollars, the investment certificate distributor and fund holding bank – AS „Akciju komercbanka „Baltikums””.
The fund’s prospect and management regulations, the fund’s financial reports, as well as data on the fund’s value and the investment certificate sale and buyback price is available from the distributors and NASDAQ OMX Riga website: www.nasdaqomxbaltic.com.
The distributed investment certificates are available to any investor who holds a financial instruments account with Baltikums Banka.
The company anticipates launching new investment funds in future depending on the situation in financial markets and demand from the customers.
The Financial and Capital Market Commission has registered the investment fund Baltikums Short-Term Investment Strategy Bond Fund opened by Baltikums Asset Management and has allowed issuing to public rotation investment certificates of the investment fund. Baltikums Asset Management has become a member of the Latvian Central Depository in the issuer’s status with the participant code 235. Emission accounts have been opened for the holding bank AS „Akciju komercbanka „Baltikums”” and the issue of Baltikums Short-Term Investment Strategy Bond Fund has been registered with the assigned ISIN code LV0000400570.
Baltikums Asset Management possesses a license issued by the Financial and Capital Market Commission of the Republic of Latvia for individual management of investment funds and financial instruments according to the investors’ orders. The company operates in compliance with requirements of legal acts of the Republic of Latvia.
Baltikums Asset Management provides asset and wealth management services and is a member of Baltikums Bankas Grupa that has longstanding experience in banking and investments.
Currently, bonds of the third issue of Baltikums Asset Management parent company Baltikums Banka are available in public rotation and quoted at NASDAQ OMX Riga stock exchange, with the total value of EUR 10 million. Earlier Baltikums Banka successfully redeemed its previous two issues and the first issue of credit linked bonds (credit notes) in Latvia.
In the first seven months of the year, the profit of Baltikums Banka amounted to LVL 1.121 million. As of 31 July 2009, the Bank’s assets made up LVL 100.906 million. By the end of July, Baltikums Banka issued loans totally worth LVL 26.773 million, including loans to households for purchase of housing worth LVL 14.1 thousand and mortgage loans worth LVL 17.1 thousand. As of the end of July, the Bank attracted deposits worth LVL 72.053 million.
