The comnference was organized by Olainfarm in cooperation with Latvian Union of Neurologists, Neurology Development Foundation, and Latvian Association of Nephrologists.  Conference consisted of two simultaneous programs – Neurological program in two parts (including short academic presentations about treatment of neural system and of traumas) and therapeutic program (with a particular focus on nephrology, alergology and psycho-somatic issues).  Among more than 20 top professionals presenting their speeches, participants of the conference paid specific attention to sevelar gueast lecturers from Russia and Ukraine, including:

 

§                                 Speech of academic, Prof. Ludmila Luss (Head of Scientific and Consultative division of Russian Insitute for Immunology) about modern problems of clinical alergology and diagnosis and tratment of food allergies.;

§                                 Presentation of Prof. Natalya Skripchenko (Department of Peadiatric Communicative Diseases of State Academy of Paediatric Medicine) about the ray diagnosis of encephalytis and specifics of treatment in children;

§                                 Lecture of Proffessor Valentin Shtock (Head of Department for Neural Diseases of Russian Post Graduate Education Academy) about the modern view on treatment of Parkinson’s disease;

§                                 Lecture of Proffessor Vladislav Povoroznuk (Director of Center for Ostheoporosis of Ukrainian Scientific Insitute of Garenthology) about neurotic disorders and hypogonadism.

During the conference studies and experiences were presented by high level neurologists and teaching staff from Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, georgis, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

 

At the conference Latvia was represented by teaching staff of Riga Stradins University Assoc. Prof. Harijs Cernevskis, Doc. Dace Rezeberga, Prof. Gunta Ancane, Prof. Andrejs Millers, Prof. Gertrude Enina, Prof. Juris Berzins, Assoc. Prof. Inara Logina, PhD Jurgis Strautmanis, Arturs Utinans, Rolands Gibners, Vladimirs Strazdins, Prof. Aija Zilevica, Maris Bukovskis, Prof Igors Aksiks, Egils Vitols.

 

First international neurological conference “Separate Issues of Treatment of Traumas and Diseases of Neural System” organized by Olainfarm with the support from Latvian Union of Neurologists took place in February 2006. It was attended by more than 600 participants, including guests from Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
